A lot of digital manga never gets the .cbz extension. It's shared as a plain ZIP full of numbered page images. Functionally that's identical to a CBZ, but a Kindle can't do anything with it, because it has no book structure or reading order that an e-reader recognizes.

Questions
Do I need to rename my ZIP to .cbz first?
No. CBZ is just a ZIP with a different extension, and the converter accepts both. Upload the .zip exactly as you have it.
How are the pages ordered in the EPUB?
By file name, with numbers read as numbers, so page 2 comes before page 10 even without zero-padding. A file whose name starts with "cover" goes first, and folders are sorted the same way, so Ch 2 comes before Ch 10.
What can the ZIP contain?
JPG, PNG, and WebP images, up to 200 MB total. Images inside subfolders are picked up too, and system junk files (like __MACOSX entries) are ignored automatically.
