CBR is a comic archive that uses RAR compression instead of ZIP — the contents are the same page images as a CBZ, just packed with a proprietary compressor. Kindles can't open CBR files, and neither can most browser tools, because RAR extraction isn't freely licensed the way ZIP is.
The free converter below accepts CBZ and ZIP. So the quickest path for a CBR is a 30-second repackage: extract it with a free tool (7-Zip on Windows, Keka or The Unarchiver on macOS), compress the extracted images back into a ZIP, and upload that here — no renaming needed. Only the compression. CBR is a renamed RAR archive; CBZ is a renamed ZIP archive. Both contain a sequence of page images. ZIP is an open format, which is why CBZ works everywhere CBR doesn't.
Open the CBR in 7-Zip (Windows) or Keka/The Unarchiver (macOS) and extract the images to a folder. Select the images and compress them to a ZIP. That ZIP uploads here directly — renaming it to .cbz is optional, the converter treats both the same.
