How to Download Manga Directly from Websites to Your Kindle

Learn how to bypass manual downloads and use MangaSendr's new External Sources feature to beam chapters from the web straight to your device.

The biggest point of friction for digital manga readers is the "middleman."

To read the newest weekly chapter of your favorite series, you usually have to:

  1. Go to a manga reader website or aggregator on your PC or phone.
  2. Use a browser extension or external downloader app to save the images.
  3. Zip the images into a .cbz file.
  4. Run the .cbz through a converter like KCC to build an EPUB.
  5. Send the EPUB to your Kindle.

This workflow takes 10 to 15 minutes. It is so annoying that many readers endure the eye strain of reading on their phones just to avoid the hassle.

What if your Kindle could just "fetch" the chapter straight from the website for you?

The Promise of Web Browsers on E-ink

You might think, “I'll just use the Kindle’s experimental browser!”

If you have tried this, you immediately know why it is a joke. E-ink screens cannot handle scrolling websites. Every time you swipe or zoom on a web page, the screen performs a full black-and-white flash refresh. The image quality is brutally degraded to load faster, and finding the tiny "Next Page" button makes reading impossible.

E-readers are brilliant for consuming offline files, but they are terrible web browsers.

The Power of the MangaSendr Scraper

We built MangaSendr to connect your favorite sites directly to your e-reader, completely eliminating the download/convert/send pipeline.

With our new External Sources feature, MangaSendr becomes a bridge between the web and your Kindle.

1. The 1-Click Fetch

Instead of downloading a zip folder, simply grab the URL of the manga you want to read. Paste it into MangaSendr's Dashboard and hit Add Source.

2. The Silent Download

MangaSendr runs securely on your local PC. It acts as an automated browser. It visits the link you provided, safely extracts the high-resolution images of the chapter, and downloads them in the background.

3. The Auto-Conversion

Remember steps 3, 4, and 5 of the old workflow? MangaSendr does them automatically. Instantly after downloading, it packages the images, injects the AniList metadata cover, crops the white margins, boosts the contrast for e-ink, and builds a perfect EPUB.

4. Direct to Kindle

Finally, it uses your Amazon Send-to-Kindle email to beam the optimized file straight to your device over WiFi.

By the time you grab your Kindle off the nightstand, the newest chapter is sitting on your home screen with a beautiful cover, ready to read in full e-ink clarity.

Track Ongoing Web Series

Even better, MangaSendr remembers the URL. You can tell the app to monitor that specific web series. When Chapter 59 drops next week, MangaSendr will detect it and send it to your device automatically without you ever opening the app.
